HOPE CAFE
Hope Cafe launched on the evening of Sunday 30 March 2008 in the Salvation Army Hall, Belper Market Place. After an exciting first year the Cafe continues to open its doors from 7pm till 9pm on a Sunday evening.
Although the impetus for this project came originally from David Howarth of the Sally Army, it ties in very much with Hope for Belper’s vision for conecting with the town and the Belper steering are more than pleased to endorse and support David and Janet through 2009.
In addition the Salvation Army Hall is an ideal venue – it’s the right sort of size and its central location is a real asset to a project like this.
The rebranding for 09 has strengthened the emphasis on ‘open mic’ and David is looking for a collaborative and shared approach to the proceedings.
Hope Cafe is definately a place to go and chill, enjoy local music and receive a great welcome and great coffee!
